Hocus Pocus!
Ok, who else was so excited for the Hocus Pocus sequel? I hate to admit, but I haven’t gotten around to watching it yet! I’ve been busy, but I’m definitely looking forward to finally seeing it when I get the time!
I wouldn’t say I’m a Hocus Pocus super fan, but I think the original film is a whole lot of fun, and I can’t wait to see what the Sanderson Sisters are getting up to these days.
I made this dress last Halloween, thinking I’d wear it to Disneyland while it was decorated for Halloween, but I wound up wearing different makes that trip. Of course, I had to pull it back out this year to celebrate the Hocus Pocus 2 release!
I used a heavily modified version of one of my favorite patterns, Butterick B5748. I re-drew the neckline to make it a square, and pleated 3 rectangular panels of fabric to the bodice to form the skirt. It’s a simple design, and I think it works well to show off this print!
