Gingerbread Kitties
Here it is, my gingerbread kitties dress!
I’d had this Spoonflower print on my favorites list for awhile (since at least last Christmas!), but decided this was the year that I would make it into something!
I made it into one of my new favorite patterns, Simplicity S9164. I made the skirt fuller than the pattern called for, and also sandwiched rick rack trim in the collar and cuff seams to create a scalloped effect.
The fabric is from Spoonflower designer therewillbecute. I had mine printed on the cotton sateen.
I can’t believe I’m just now writing about this dress after finishing it before Thanksgiving! I was able to wear it a couple of times throughout the holiday season, and I can’t wait to pull it out again next year! I am so behind on sharing my Christmas makes, I’ll be playing catch-up for a few weeks here at this rate.
